Meha Desai is a writer and documentary photographer whose work explores migration, identity, and the ways people shape—and are shaped by—their environments. Drawn to overlooked narratives, she documents everything from the resilience of displaced communities to the evolving cultural landscapes of Mauritius and beyond. Her work has taken her from the archives of Craft Revival Trust in India to the kitchens of Navdanya, and from photographing the Chagossian community in exile to uncovering untold food histories. Meha’s writing and photography have been featured in international publications and exhibitions.
